2nd Story Window: Valentines Weekend

We left Friday night for San Diego...right after Nico got home from work.
It was snowing SO hard..it took us only THREE HOURS to get down the
mountain...yikes! We ended up being stopped for a little over and hour
as well because someone had flipped their car. We finally got to SD around
11 something...spent the night at my dear friend Andreas house and I had a
maternity shoot at 10:30 the next morning...I woke up to get ready to go..
and ding ding...text message..the maternity mama is in labor! Soooo so much
for that shoot. I was SO looking forward to doing her maternity session as
well but you cant tell a baby when it can be born!
So I thought..Hmmmm, since Andrea has been away from her home for so long
maybe Ill do an impromptu photo session with her cats! Happy Valentines Day

That afternoon I had a shoot at Oceanside pier..[which..Im saving the pictures
to show for later..they are a secret for right now.but it was perfect] After
my session Synthina, Eman and Espi came and met me at the pier..YAHHHH!!!
We went and got Nico, Brenna, Dom and Lucas from Andreas house..AND Lana and
George came along as well..we all went to Oceanside and had a perfect time!
Of course...the food was amazing and like always..as soon as I walk in the door
there I breathe a sigh of..."Ahhhhh this is home..."
Being around them always reminds me of when things were "normal" with my
family..well, as normal as any perfectly disfunctional family can be,
but "normal" in my world. I miss that. I see Mrs A [my Mexican mama] and just
seeing her makes me miss my own mom so badly. She is a constant reminder of
so many fun times..her and my mom going to the Escondido swapmeet every
Saturday morning, cooking, thriftshopping, laughing, driving us girls around,
dumpster diving, more laughing, a ton of love, all of us living together,
more laughing, loving, dinners, praying, making mints for every freaking
wedding at FBC, Jesus... I miss normal. Being at Papa and Mamadacas house
is bittersweet, in the sense that its a reminder of how things used to be,
but also its always so good to see everyone. I just wish Sofia and Nile, Jordan,
Lukey, Sarah, Hannah, and Joshy were there...one day though we're all going
to be packed into that house and it will be loud, and crazy and happy, and insane,
and lovely and perfectly disfunctional full of people who are all just people
with faults, weakness's, talents, hopes, jokes, hugs, smiles, cuddles, smacks,
pinches, tons of gushy goodness!
