8[365] So, This morning I was thinking, what will my day 8
photo of my 365 project contain? I woke up got ready to drive
down to San Diego to do a photoshoot for my good friend Andrea
and her husband, he leaves early in the morning for 9 months
on leave with the Navy..I wanted to get some pictures of their
family together..I got in the car, called Nico, let him know that
I was going to be driving down the mountain and would have no
reception, everything was fine, I was listening to Journey on my
Ipod, thinking about my nieces who I wanted to go and pick up to
bring back up the mountain so that they could go snowboarding tomorrow
..and then my car just lost traction, I hit a piece of ice and my car
just got a mind of its own, I hit the right side of the embankment, my
car got flipped totally around and got thrown to the left side of the
road and slammed against the guard rail and then got thrown back across
the road to the right side again where I slammed into the embankment and
FINALLY stopped. Seriously, until it happens to you, people saying that
your life flashes before your eyes..just sounds cliche' but it literally
does, and did. Its amazing how fast our minds can think and how much we
can pack into our thoughts in a quick couple of seconds, I literally think
I covered the realm of thoughts, "I should have done this, I shouldnt
have said that, I wish..I wish..." Im thankful for life!
My little beater car served me well today, it kept me safe, it packed a punch.
It had been awhile since I truly and I mean truly felt God's hand on me..and today, I felt it again...and it felt good. It felt safe.
I felt like a little ball in a pinball machine...except with every hit, I wasn't
getting any points.
Pretty much now...the song Faithfully by Journey is always just going to remind
me of this broken day.
Im thankful!

And..a special shoutout to Lisa aka Alani :] All dogs go to heaven and I guess
so should her alias name I call her.
She is my friend Ive never met. Long story, not going to explain it right
now but she has just been in my life for over ten years, through thick, thin,
fat,ugly,gorgeous,puffy,skinny,happy,sad,pregnant,nursing,kids,movies,snacky
fatty foods,Martha Stewart, ugly people, beautiful people, mean people, nice people,
hula, photography, Hawaii, Vegas, Jap food, Pearl Harbor, Sopranos, peanutbutter
boogers, belly smells, Onion John, Up, down, over, under, ummm alot more prepositional
phrases...but I think you get the drift.
She is my left boob. [dont roll your eyes, its not perverted]
She is glowing in PINK, she's a SURVIVOR and Colins mommy.
She rocks [even though it's to bogus 80's music] I think she secretly
thinks she is one of the Go Go's.
She, like me, misses her mom.
She is a hula girl and she's a sushi maker.
She gets me.
You should know her.
This is her..and Dougy Fresh her other half.
They are dear.

This is their lad.
Is he not adorable!?

goodnight lovelies.
Im so tired.
My back is buggered.
I wanna snuggle my kiddies.
xo {p.s. we had an earthquake tonight. I was laying in bed and it felt
like the foundation of the house turned into a bowl of jello. Yikes!}
