Look at the sky...this was when we had gotten down to the bottom
of the mountain [we as in me, Lana and Dominic].

I had photosessions today so we went down the mountain a day early.
We stayed with my sister Debby. FUN FUN FUN! It was so good to see her
and my nephew Michael.
a few pictures from Saturday night :)
Debby.

Deb and Lana

some of Debbys coziness! Her apartment is so snug.
She is seriously the hostest with the mostest. As soon
as we got there she made homemade waffles with ice cream
and hot fudge on them. Oh me oh My!

Her being pop tarty :) Im so happy for her to have found someone who
she loves..Jason sounds like a great guy. Three cheers for Debby!

Here's my nephew Michael and Dominic. [poor Michael has the gnarly headcold
thats going around..we all STILL have it!]

A fun night was had.
I didn't get to sleep till 2:30am and had to be up at 7 to get ready to go
do a shoot at Balboa Park...Yikes!
We woke up to rain and grey skies! Of all the days!
The shoot went awesome...pics to come of the little lovely tomorrow.
Then I had another shoot 2:30pm and we had time to get kill so me, Lana
and Dom went to Hortin Plaza..went to Hot Topic..I got a cute bag :) Got
Brenna some jeans and a Twilight keychain..a must for every teen girl.
Thennnn we went and got Dominic a big bucket cup of cheese fries and we
got Cinnabons [ we so deserved them!]
We went to the shoot over by Hotel Coronado and we were greeted with
a massive sand storm on the beach! It was SOOOO windy!
I managed to get shots dispite the wind, sand, grit, grundge, etc :)
Look what flew right smack over our heads!

Tomorrow I will share some from that shoot as well..their kids...adorable.
Then it was time to get home...but before heading up the mountain, I stopped
in Escondido..Center City Prkwy.. a quick down memory lane :(
It was so strange...I hadnt been here for years, I think since i was about 12,
but as soon as I turned on Country Club Lane into Escondido Hills, it was like
my car knew right where to drive, I remembered everything perfectly, how I rode
my bike down these streets with my little sister, how we used to go to our
choice of 3 different swimming pools and go to our own 7-11 within Escondido
Hills...the bike paths..the couldasac..living nextdoor to the Wagners. Argh!
So look...my street..

Driving up the couldasac...the grass in the middle..was where we used to sit
and play barbies and con our friends out of giving us their best barbie
clothes, shoes, jewelry..etc. Man..everything seemed so much bigger when
I was smaller.

My house. It always seemed like a mansion to me when I was little.
That was my bedroom window right above the garage...*sniff sniff* I'm
getting sentimental...probably more mental though. I just miss those
days so much. [I wonder what the people who live there now must have
been thinking of me sitting in front of their house pointing a camera
at it and honestly..my mom took way better care of that yard, our
yard was the envy of the burbs..we had the best grass, plants, smells,
garage to rollerskate in..everything!]

looking back into the couldasac..and look there are kids skateboarding..still.
It's as if nothings changed. They are doing exactly what we used to do.

driving down our street.

One more post of this picture..you know, for good Ol times.
Goodbye Lochridge Pl. Oh how I love you still.

And last but not least..when we were driving out of Escondido Hills..
I saw this..that 7-11 we used to ride our bikes to after swimming, or
to get a Big Wheel ice cream sandwhich while Debby sat and played Miss
Pacman for what seemed like hours!
I thought I should pay it omige..
This very 7-11 is where I started my life of crime.
However it ended pretty much as soon as it started, but still
it did indeed start..the day I decided to sneak and steal a
packet of red poprocks. I remember not even being able to enjoy
them because they were stolen, I thought for sure, had I swallowed
a gulp of soda to wash the "sin" down my throat, surely I would
be one of those 1,000's of people who died mixing poprocks and
soda and having their stomachs explode. That really happened right?
Tell me it really happened? My fear wasnt for nothing was it? I mean,
tell me I wasn't lied to, Mikey from the Life cereal box really is
dead too...right? Isn't he?
Darn those urban legends.
Anyways. I did steal.
And I am sure in more ways than one...I paid for it.
Here is the scene of the crime [i dont think they have ever
changed the 7-11 sign either...it looked a pale, worn out 70's
version of the now trendy wendy 7-11 signs]

Goodnight now. You're embarressing me so goodnight, goodnight.
Walk away from the door, walk away from my life
So goodbye. [No idea why the lyrics to a Hot Hot Heat song just popped
in my head there]
