I can't believe it's been a week since I've posted anything on here. How sad, my poor little blog was left alone all week long. I will try my bestest to stop by more than once a week to say something...I promise...really, I do.
Soooo what happened this week!?
Monday - Ummm I don't even remember
Tuesday - Wow, I don't remember!
Wednesday - I do know that I went and met my dear friend Andrea for dinner. It was nice and we had a nice long chat.
Thursday - I had this phone conversation....
"Hi this is C.S's mother, he had his cellphone taken away in class because he forgot to put it on
silent, it went off during class...I am calling to see what I need to do to get it back"
"Ok Mrs. S. you need to come here during school hours and pick it up"
"Ok, but what if I cant make it there during school hours? Can't you just give it back to him
tomorrow, since I am his mother, its basically my phone and I am needing it back?"
"Mrs S. the only way that your son can recieve his phone back is if you, a grandparent, a neighbor
comes and picks it up..."
"Ummm ok, well I dont even have any family that lives around me and Im not just going to go over
to my neighbors whom I dont even know and ask them if they will please go and pick up my sons
cellphone from school"
"Ok Mrs. S. your son can pick it up in the office only if he agrees to receiving 4 hours of detention
and 2 "licks"
"Ahahaha are you kidding me? You want to spank my 16 year old!!??? I am sorry that is so stupid"
"Well Mrs. S. I realise that you think our rules are stupid but that is the deal"
"Ok than maybe you guys need to be a little more consistent with your rules because some
teachers just tell the student to turn their phone off and stick it in their bag and that is the end of
it, while other teachers, take them away from them and cause them to have to get spanked??
It is inconsistent and causes confusion with the students.
"Well Mrs. S. I guess then that we should be more consistent (Which I know nothing will change)
"Ok fine then, I guess I am going to have to make sure I come and pick up his phone because you
aren't spanking my 16 year old son"
Ok...am I the only one who things that the punishment seems a little overkill for the offense!? Honestly. We have drugs, violence, bullying, pregnant girls walking the halls of the junior high and highschool...and they want to spank my son for his cellphone going off in class? I understand the rules of the no phones going off in class, that I get. I just dont feel as though the punishment fits the crime...it just seems a tad overkill. I feel that in spanking them, all they are doing is making the kids bitter towards them and there is going to be such an uncomfortable feeling there between that child and whoever "licks" them. AND WHY DO THEY HAVE TO CALL THEM "licks"!!?? That sounds so disturbing.
It is funny, the same day that C made the major offense of having his cellphone go off...the school had a peprally for the big game later that night...during the peprally they promoted violence and degrating women..with the rap music saying the word "Ho" numerous times and then having a girl dress like one of the cheerleaders from the opposing team...and had her being chased and mockingly beat up by their own school mascot which is a Panther... mixed messages and double standards.
P.S. they lost the game
During the game, Buca baby and I went to the mall, we had fun. We went to Old Navy, looked at some Halloween costumes...he got some chicky nuggies...and fell asleep.
Also...I found some old friends on myspace....for that I am very happy!
Saturday...game day for big D. His team won 20-0 it was SO hot, blazing might I add!

After the game, D and I went to run some errands, got Starbucks, went to Guitar Center, went to Party City and got his Halloween costume..Ohhh D is going to be cool!! He likes his costume very much. Then we went to the mall to exchange some shirts at Old Navy, saw A while we were there, talked to her for awhile, went to Hot Topic..then home. It POURED rain all the way home. Nico and I went to dinner...which was nice. Then I went to see The Kingom with my friend Maryjo...very good movie...made me cry...I liked it. Came home...went nana's.
And now...today.... back to the mall to exchange something I bought for C . I am officially done buying clothes of any sort for C or B when they are not with me because they are SOOOOO picky! And I almost always have to take it back...so fagetaboutit.
Hmmm, I am hungry right now.....I wish I had a personal chef.
Seeing as my laptop is making my thighs feel like they are on fire, I guess I should end this post for now at least.....
Buca baby and I are still sitting in my bed...lazybones that we are.
